grub

it was a rainy day; i wish we had the weather to sit outside to eat.
instead of bread, they give you a healthy alternative for a complimentary starter: pretzels, carrot sticks, and sliced cucumber with some ranch sauce dipping.
white truffle burger w/greens as a side
look at that gruyere cheese and grounded meat.
after school special: grilled cheddar and swiss cheese sandwich on sourdough w/a side of creamy tomato soup.

type of food: american styled brunch/breakfast/supper.
price: $0-15
atmosphere: house turned restaurant. sits on a corner lot of a street filled with family homes. really cute and really "homey." has an old charm feel surrounding it with the squeaky and worn hard wood floors and flower pots lining the steps into the front door. doesn't have too many tables (maybe 8ish?). parking is alright with street parking. it's in a residential area, so parking is 1-2 hour free. owned by the once top chef contestant Betty Fraser!
rating: 8.5 out of 10. food was great. service was amicable. setting was story-book-like. only downside is the minimum amount of seating and parking was a bit scarce, due to the residential area. however, totally worth a drop by.
